We come from the kind of place where there is freshness in the air. Here, questions are asked and new ideas are formulated. The beauty of the Himalayas goes beyond postcards and dramatic movies. Countless artists, authors, philosophers and musicians have found in these valleys a place where their vision can be fully manifested. It seeps into every word, note or brushstroke and for us, producing rum is no less than creating an art.

Nestled under the lush green hills of the Kathmandu valley, awash with fresh spring waters and cool temperatures of the Himalayas,The Nepal Distilleries Pvt Ltd stands in the lap of the mountains. The distillery becomes part of a community, something which is especially important to the locals of Nepal. The distillery has opened up new career possibilities: distiller, chef, bartender, marketer and unskilled labourers. This only deepens the sense of place further.  Some of our blenders who have been working with Khukri for 3 generations use their expertise to create the perfect blend and maintain the quality for our customers who come from all walks of life.
